A Horse of Her Own

Each camper has a horse or pony of her own during her stay at Pony Farm. The horse is hers to ride, care for, and enjoy for the entire session. Campers may also bring their own horses to ride during camp and board them at our farm during their stay.

Horseback riding is the heart of our camp program. Pony Farm offers riding twice a day, every day except Sunday. Our carefully designed riding program ensures safety while promoting successful learning and skill development.

We have horses and ponies, small-group lessons, and riding activities for riders of all levels of experience.

When it comes to campers and horses, our objectives are to match each camper with a suitable, safe mount, have the camper learn a lot, and make great progress – while having a blast on horseback! Each camper will be matched with a horse or pony that we feel will match their experience level and goals the best. Upon arrival, campers will be able to find out their horse’s name and visit them in their stall or field! We like to call our first day of lessons our “trial rides” as we do not lock our campers in to their horse matches. If the match doesn’t seem quite right – for whatever reason – we will swap for another better suited match.

Part of the camp registration paperwork is the riding experience form. Please make sure to fill this page out completely and submit it in a timely fashion so we have all the information we need in order to make a knowledgable match.
