A Driving Year at a Glance

Throughout the year at Touchstone Farm, we welcome drivers to driving lessons, carriage driving clinics, individual lessons with well-known clinicians, presentations, shows, and other special driving events:

During the cold weather of January and February, join us in cozy Stepping Stone Lodge for our Fireside Chats, educational programs in preparation for the Carriage Association of America's Driver Proficiency Program.

In March, our Spring Farm Day and Open House kicks off the driving season. Observe a driving demonstration and then sign up for lessons. Attend a Driving Immersion Week to get in shape for the season or to get in some solid practice for the CAA Driver Proficiency Evaluation or our first Arena Driving Trial of the year.

April offers a PATH Intl. Carriage Driving Workshop and Certification for those interested in becoming certified therapeutic driving instructors. The second ADT of our Frostbite series also happens this month.

May brings a GSCA Pleasure Drive & Driving Club Potluck at Touchstone Farm and will include a Poker Drive, Cones and Obstacle Practice if desired.

In June, July and August, you can help junior drivers at Pony Farm Summer Camp and the Day Camp at Touchstone Farm to experience the thrill of driving - and maybe even recruit them to return in September for our Arena Driving Trial.

September brings the opportunity for weekly driving lessons with us. At the end of the month, we'll hold the final ADT in our Frostbite series.

October brings our banner driving event of the year…The Fall Festival of Driving, a sanctioned event with the American Driving Society. Look at the ADS Omnibus for full details.

November finds us at Equine Affaire telling all the visitors about Touchstone Farm and its many fine programs.

December is our month to be peaceful and dream of next year!!!

You can check out our farm calendar for upcoming events. We also feature each event in our News section when registration opens. To sign up to be on our Touchstone Driving Email list and receive early notice of all our driving events, send your contact information (must have email) to Boo Martin at
