Fall Festival of Driving



Join us each Fall for a driving-filled weekend of friendly competition, great meals, and the wonderful camaraderie of carriage driving enthusiasts amid the beauty of Touchstone Farm in Autumn.


Our weekend schedule is packed with ADS-sanctioned events for Novice, Junior, and higher-level drivers. Competitions occur both in the rings on high-quality footing, and in our open fields and on dirt and paved roads surrounding our farm.


Sample Weekend Schedule (based on 2013 Festival)



10:00 Stabling Opens

2:00 Secretary's Booth Opens

2:00 Lodge Opens for Overnight Guests

6:30 Wine & Cheese Welcome Reception (open to all)

7:30 Dinner for Guests of Lodge



9:00-12:30 Introduction to Pleasure Driving Show

2:00 High Tea & Hot Toddy Drive

(8K drive on country roads and through a nature preserve with stops at private homes for libations and conversations - shorter, easier route available for VSEs)

4:30 Briefing for Sunday's Horse Driving Trial &Trip Around Course

6:30 BBQ



9:00 Dressage

9:30 Cones Course

1:30 Marathon ("Wild West" theme)

Stabling Information


TSFcarriagedrivingfall.jpgTent stabling onsite in our large indoor arena. We have ample room for vehicle storage under cover and a ramp on site for ease of loading and unloading vehicles. Bring your own hay, grain and shavings. A negative Coggins within 1 year of show date is required and will be checked upon arrival.


Food and Accommodations


A food truck featuring delicious local foods will be onsite for hot and cold drinks, lunch, and snacks.


The Lodge on a Summer morningWe do invite you to stay onsite in Stepping Stone Lodge. Enjoy fireside conversation in the Lodge's airy great room, and sleep well under a quilt in one of the cozy guest rooms. Delicious home cooked meals are included for anyone staying overnight at the lodge, or by arrangement with the lodge staff.
