Tuition

 

TSF_OSWC_MayJune2013003Copy.JPGTuition for the three month program is $5,000. The payment fee schedule is as follows:

 

  • $1000 non-refundable deposit is due upon acceptance into the course
  • $2,000 is due upon arrival
  • Final payment of $2,000 is due mid-course

 

All checks for tuition must be payable to Touchstone Farm. Credit card payments are accepted on our website. Touchstone Farm reserves the right to withhold a candidate’s paperwork from PATH for any candidate who has not paid in full.

 

Additional fees include PATH Intl. membership (before your arrival) and the PATH instructor certification fee that is due mid-course with your final payment.

 

Optional additional expenses include conference fees, travel, and lodging for events that you may wish to attend while you’re at the farm, excluding the Centered Riding Clinic that is included with your tuition.

 

TSF_OSWC_MayJune2013010.JPGCandidates are expected to pay for their transportation to and from Horse Power. A more detailed account of payment schedule and cost is also listed on the application.

 

During the first month, should a candidate or the Horse Power Instructor Training School staff decide that a candidate is either not ready to participate in the school, or that the school does not meet the requirements of the candidate, the candidate may withdraw at that time with no additional tuition or housing cost due. No refunds are available after the first month of the school.

 

Housing


IMG_0172.jpgOn-site housing will be furnished if desired at an additional cost. Instructor candidates are not required to live on site. We welcome you to find your own housing in the area if you so desire.

 

The Homestead or Stepping Stone Lodge located on-site are comfortable, pleasant housing for Instructor Training Candidates.

 

Lodging costs $1,500.00 for the full session including furniture and utilities, with a $200 deposit. ITCs may be housed in single, double, or triple accommodations depending on enrollment.

 

Housing also comes with a full kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, and oven. Candidates cook their own meals at their own expense. An outgoing phone for local calls, and internet access are available at no expense for use by the ITCs.

 

summermisc099.JPGRental agreements with Touchstone Farm will be made and required. ITCs are encouraged to bring a cell phone for long distance calls. Email access is available but it is expected that ITCs bring their own computers. The rental agreement will be included with your acceptance package if you indicate housing on your application.

 

Candidates may not bring pets of any kind. Candidates may choose to bring their own horse but will be required to pay full board of $450 a month for their personal horse. Personal vehicles are strongly recommended and parking is available on-site. Smoking is not allowed on the premises.
