Instructors
Terri Devlin, Head of the Horse Power Lesson Program, is a long time horsewoman. She has a wide-ranging background with people who have cognitive and or physical challenges. She has been at Horse Power since 2000. There, she is the Program Director and Volunteer Coordinator, as well as the Camp Director for Barnyard Buddies Day Camp. She started Barnyard Buddies in 2005, a unique day camp for children with special needs. It is now quite a successful, all inclusive day camp. She is currently the NH State Chair for PATH Int'l as well as a Lead Evaluator and Faculty for On Site Workshops and Certifications for PATH Int'l. She holds an Advanced Level Therapeutic Riding Instructor Certification. She, along with other Horse Power Staff, help teach Instructor Training Candidates. She resides in Jaffrey with her husband and daughter.
Winter Keeler, Instructor with Horse Power at Touchstone Farm and became a registered level therapeutic horseback-riding instructor with our spring 2011 class! Winter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of New Hampshire at Durham, and is presently working toward her LICSW. Winter is a Clinical Supervisor at Wediko Children’s Services, Inc. in Windsor, NH. Wediko is a non-profit organization for children who struggle with emotional, behavioral, environmental and learning issues. Wediko has participated in the Horse Power program at Touchstone Farm since 1998 and Winter has been a part of this collaborative effort since 2004. Winter is a faculty member for the Horse Power Instructor Training School. Winter grew up riding, working at a racehorse barn in high school, and competing in multiple disciplines such as Games, Combined Training and Tetrathlon. She is glad to be riding again after a long hiatus and hopes to further combine her work with horses, therapeutic riding and people into a practice for equine facilitated psychotherapy someday!
Sddita Blackburn - Coordinator of Touchstone Farm’s Horse Power Instructor Training School and part time Horse Power Instructor. Is a PATH Intl. Registered Therapeutic Riding Instructor. With her background growing up on a farm in Vermont, she learned her way around the barn and horses as a child. She started her career in equine assisted activities and therapies in 2003, became certified at the Registered Level in 2004, and has been actively involved in the industry ever since. She has worked at a variety of centers in Arizona and Colorado in many roles, from part time instructor to full time assistant program director. While in Colorado, Sddita worked for PATH Intl. as the Certification Manager gaining invaluable knowledge about the industry and as the staff liaison for the committees on curriculum development for all disciplines and certification processes/procedures. Sddita runs her own freelance graphic design business Sizzle Designs when she isn’t at the farm.
