Although we are not a ‘sale barn’, we do take suitable horses and ponies that a family wishes to sell during our active summer season. We accept horses on consignment anytime after June 1st.
These horses must be sound and well mannered. They need to be able to walk, trot and canter, as well as jump at least cross rails. All horses must be reviewed by our lesson Program Director for suitability. We get them in good shape and then use them in our summer camp program.
All of these horses receive excellent care and loads of TLC. Our campers can give your pony or horse some ‘mileage’ and exposure. Our staff also help school the horses, ensuring a consistent training program. If suitable, we also take them to local shows where they are announced as being for sale. The owners are welcome to place advertisements for their horse at their expense. We will show the horse to a prospective buyer.
Touchstone Farm does not charge anything for the board or training of these consignment horses. We also provide all shoeing, routine vet expenses and showing fees. The pony or horse must be picked up by the former owner if not sold by September 1st. Transportation is at the owner’s expense.
