ISABELLA (Boo) MARTIN, M.Ed: A life long horsewoman, Boo has shown, trained, evented, driven and taught riding and driving lessons for the last 40 years. She has also actively fox hunted and done Pony Club. She has spoken at numerous regional and national conferences. She graduated as a teacher for grades K-12 from UVM and Fordham University. She then went on to found Pony Farm, a girls’ summer residential riding camp, fully accredited by the American Camping Association. She was involved as both the President and Executive Director of the NH Camp Directors’ Association, serving on the NE/ACA board as well.
She then founded the lesson program at the farm and became involved with the American Riding Instructor Association, receiving her instructor certification from ARIA. She was awarded the Riding Instructor of the Year in 1997. Attended Antioch Graduate School in the Organization and Management Degree Program, and started Horse Power and the Horse Power Instructor Training School with her colleagues and professors, as well as became involved in the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association when she founded Horse Power in 1989. She went on to co-found the Equine Facilitated Mental Health Association, as well as serve on numerous NARHA committees. She has received the Presidents’ Award, the Founders’ Award and the James Brady Lifetime Achievement Award with NARHA, as well as the NH Horse Person of the Year.
Becky Sanborn - Co-Camp Director
Becky started as a nanny for Boo's 2 sons, now grown, and as the camp lifeguard. She has moved up through the ranks over the last 13 years at the farm. She is a certifed teacher and has a B.S degree from UNH in Hospitality Management.
Sarah Dalley - Head of Touchstone Farm Riding Lessons, started her riding career 20 years ago at age four. Since then she has trained and owned her own horses and competed in Hunters, Jumpers and in Equitation. Sarah has wintered in Wellington, Florida, riding and caring for show horses on the circuit. Sarah has an Associates degree in Equine Science from The University of New Hampshire. While studying at UNH, she competed as an Open rider on the Hunt seat team. After graduating in 2008 she moved to Martha’s Vineyard, where she managed and taught at a large lesson/show barn.Sarah has now moved back to New Hampshire permanently and has become part of our team, as our lesson program director. Sarah recently certified as a CHA level 3 Instructor.
Jody Albertini - Jody has had a life long involvement with Pony Farm, starting as a camper. She has worked in every role at the farm, from head of the lesson program, lead instructor, barn manager, business manager, Horse Power Director, and Horse Power Instructor. She is PATH certified. Jody has been a top level amateur competitor throughout New England, with numerous wins and championships as an Amateur Equitation Rider. She is a member of the New Hampshire Hunter Jumper Rules Committee. Jody teaches staff and CIT's at the farm as her ongoing contribution to the farm. Jody's two daughters are second generation Pony Farmers!
