Meals and Food Preparation
Stepping Stone Lodge has a fully functional country kitchen with its own entrance. The kitchen is fully equipped to feed up to 50 people. It has a commercial stove and dishwasher. Groups may choose from a variety of menu options, or may do their own cooking if desired.
Meals can be served family style, buffet or plated, depending on the desires of the group. We offer a full range of meals, from vegetarian or vegan fare to good old ‘family cookin’, to more elegant meals for special events. We can also offer a barbeque or pit cooking to round out your stay.
We are happy to work with you to create a menu for your stay. Please let us know about any food preferences, special dietary requirements, or food allergies, and we will adjust the menu accordingly.
We do our best to make use of local produce, eggs, milk and ice cream, as well as meat for our meals. We have established relationships with local farmers from whom we buy as much as we can during the growing seasons.
