The Lodge and the Farm
Stepping Stone Lodge sits on a small rise in the midst of Touchstone Farm. From the porches and windows of the Lodge, you can see our riding and driving rings, our massive four-story barn, numerous paddocks, fields, and woods.
When you stay at the Lodge for an equine event, you are close enough to check on your horse before bed, and far enough way not to be disturbed by early morning barn chores of our working farm. During the day you can return to the Lodge for breaks, meals, and to relax after the activities of the day.
Until you can join us for a visit and experience the Lodge and farm for yourself, enjoy some photos of this special place we love so much.
The broad porch runs the length of the Lodge's west. Pull up a rocker and enjoy the late afternoon sun.
In Spring, the lawns, fields and woods surrounding the Lodge practically glow with color and life.
If you're an early riser, you can enjoy a walk around the farm in the cool of the early morning.
Fall on a working horse farm in New England -- need we say more?
In late Fall after the leaves are down, sunlight floods the landscape.
Winter's cold and snow mean sleigh rides ... and cozying up by the fire with hot cocoa when the ride is over.
