Horsemanship Bootcamp

This year we are introducing Horsemanship Bootcamp — a special week of camp for kids who want to go
beyond riding and truly understand horses. Campers will learn what it takes to care for a horse through hands-
on learning and visits from our veterinarian, farrier, and equine bodyworkers. It’s the perfect experience for
kids dreaming of owning their own horse someday.

Horsemanship Bootcamp is for girls & boys ages 8-16.

We are a NH Education Freedom Account (EFA) approved provider. Click here for more information about EFA.

Activities Include:

  • Horsemanship lessons:
    • These lessons are unmounted. They will teach the kids about basic farm and horse care. For example: barn safety, grooming, parts of the horse, and even stall cleaning. This session will also include visits with our vets, farriers, and other horse care professionals.
  • Horseback riding lessons:
    • Kids will be divided into riding groups based on experience and age. With this age group, we will do many games and activities to keep their brains engaged while they learn the basics of horseback riding.
  • Arts & Crafts:
    • We love to do arts & crafts! For good reason! Our favorite is friendship bracelets. Kids can make them for themselves, their parents, siblings, their new camp bestie, or even a mini bracelet for one of the horses! We also do painting, tie dye, birdhouses, and many more fun activities.
  • Playing with the mini ponies:
    • On our farm, we have 2 miniature horses, 1 miniature donkey, and 3 goats! The kids LOVE to play with them. Whether that is brushing them, letting them graze, taking them for a walk, or even doing an obstacle course with them. They always bring entertainment for campers and staff!
  • Many other fun farm activities!!!

Food:

Lunch is not provided and must be sent with your camper.
