A Day in the Life of a Camper
7:30 am Wake up: Bring horses in from fields, feed, hay, water, clean stalls and other morning barn chores
8:30 am Breakfast
9:00 am Room Cleanup and Getting dressed for morning riding lesson
9:15 am Community Meeting: Announce day’s schedule and address any questions or concerns
9:30 am Groom, tack up horses, riding lesson – On average, lesson groups have six riders, grouped by ability and goals. Senior Staff and Counselors in Training work with each group.
12:30 pm Lunch
1:15 pm Rest hour- quiet time, chat, read, write letters
2:30 pm Afternoon Activities – No two days or weeks are alike. Campers in each session make a wish list of what they’d like to do at camp. We do our best to tailor the session to their wishes.
4:30 pm Grain horses and then camp store time for campers
5:00 pm Turn out horses in fields and evening barn chores
6:00 pm Showers and free time
6:30 pm Dinner
7:15 pm Evening Activity
8:30 pm Goodnight Circle, Vespers, and Songs
9:15pm Lights Out
9:30 pm All Quiet
